From an idea to convene entrepreneurs and UN officials around post-2015 planning, our small and nimble team at the UN Foundation strategized, fundraised, and produced the Global Accelerator Summit to accelerate global solutions. We had incredible partners and participation from the Global Entrepreneurs Council. Here was an opportunity where I also had the pleasure of meeting and collaborating with Ryan Jacoby of Machine.io formerly of IDEO NY who led the design-thinking workshops implemented at the Global Accelerator conference held at the UN Headquarters in NYC.
While with the UN Foundation, I had the opportunity to work on the My World project which is one of the largest and most impactful projects I have collaborated on to date. Collecting votes from over 9 million people around the world, this data culminated into a report presented to UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon to guide the decision making of what are now the 17 Sustainable Development Goals.
